"Offline access" is a feature that allows locks that are (temporarily) not connected to the IQ. This can happen for a number of reasons, including a power outage that causes the IQ to switch off temporarily
Offline Access by no means gives the ability to the holder of the tag to open doors that the user is not authorized for. In case the lock cannot validate the tag and its access rights in the database, the lock will fall back on the 'Offline Access' validation which means that if the presented tag has Offline Access and is included in an access group that has access to the lock the tag is presented to, the lock will validate the tag and provide access to the holder of the tag. Due to the storage capacity of a lock, and depending on the firmware of the lock this feature can be assigned to a maximum of 39 Users / Tags. Please note that Offline Access has 24/7 accesses to a door if the lock falls back on the Offline Access validation, even if in the access group the access of that Tag is limited to a specific time frame. In other words: access group time restrictions do not apply to Offline Access when the IQ has no connection to the lock or to our database.
Offline Access can be assigned to the user by editing the user in 'People' > 'Keys' and checking the box 'Offline Access' for the credentials you want to allow it on. This means you can assign this right to a physical tag and digital key separately.
If the Site contains RFnet locks within the Site, then the offline access storage is 39 per Site. But if the whole Site is equipped with BLUEnet locks, then Offline keys storage is 360. In the future, we are planning to improve this logic per lock, where the storage will be 39 for RFnet locks and 360 for BLUEnet locks within the same Site.
Check if there’s anything unusual about the hardware. For instance: does the door lock give a green light but it’s still not possible to operate the mechanism.
Before panicking, make sure you investigate the following options when your site seems to be offline:
IQ is offline due to power or network issue
The lock is offline due to the connection issue with the IQ, or the IQ is offline
The battery inside the lock is dead
The Site owner lost the pin or faced a problem and Salto Tech support see to reset the pin is the best solution.
Before decoupling the IQ from the Site.
The reset would reset to defaults, the button should be pressed around 10s
After normal reset, the device will show RGB 3 times.
WARNING: Only take this step when a SALTO support employee has recommended this.
To reset an IQ, take a paperclip or similar object and press the reset button for a minimum of 10 seconds (and a maximum of 15 seconds) while it is plugged in.
While doing this, please take note of the fact that the rest process starts with a Red, Green, Blue blink of the IQ. After these (RGB) flashes wait for a maximum of 2 minutes to have the IQ reset all settings.

Make sure that you’re actually offline by disconnecting and connecting the IQ to the power.
In order to reset and restore your IQ make sure you have the following: Admin or Owner access to the Site in the Web App and a maintenance card. Once this is done follow the steps below:
Ensure the IQ is powered and online.
Press the reset button of the IQ for 8-10 seconds, as a result, the LED light will indicate once Red Green Blue light.

Go to -> Keys -> Find the key -> Click offline access
